Fair Employment Week: Oct 27-31, 2014
December 20, 2016

Fair Employment Week: Oct 27-31, 2014

Each year CAUT and its member associations, including FPSE, join with a coalition of unions and activists across North America to organize a week-long series of events highlighting the overuse and exploitation of contract academic staff.

Niall Christie is the LFA’s  representative to the FPSE Non-Regular Faculty Committee. On Oct 25 Niall attended a town hall meeting sponsored by FPSE and CAUT entitled “Fair Employment Week Town Hall Meeting: Making Gains One Step at a Time”. Attended by representatives from across BC, the meeting featured speakers, a panel and open discussion of issues affecting non-regular faculty and how locals are seeking to address their needs. See the meeting report for more details.

Also see the Fair Employment Week website for more information about events and awareness raising campaigns across the country.
