Next week will be a difficult one for our membership. As we know, too many of us will be receiving notice that we are losing work. Others will be facing the loss of yet more colleagues and department depth, another hard hit in what has already been a full year of bad news and people losing work.

I invite you to join me and the LFA board next week on Wednesday August 27, from 8:30-10:30am, on the central lawn between the B & C buildings. We will gather to show support for those who have lost and are losing work, and to show our commitment to maintaining the quality of our college through the integrity of our profession. Our CUPE colleagues are invited to join us too, as they also face job losses and continued uncertainty. Together, We are the College. 

This will be a simple gathering to share information, have a coffee, and be there for everyone  feeling the difficulty of this time. Please stand with us to show our solidarity and care. I hope to see you there.
